Art and Design: Textiles Design encompasses a very broad range of materials, techniques and processes, including a growing number of interdisciplinary approaches. These comprise woven, embroidered, knitted, printed, painted, dyed, manipulated, embellished and constructional methods which are utilised to produce a great variety of textile outcomes that include costume and fashion design, accessories and body adornment.

Grade 5 in GCSE in Textiles/Graphics/Art.
Future Opportunities
It is a practical subject that will show your flair in the creation and use of textiles and textile products. It is a useful addition to any A Level programme but is particularly relevant if you are hoping to progress to a career in fashion design or manufacturing, textile design, manufacturing or development and the retail industry.
How will I be assessed?
There are two components at A Level: Component 1 - Personal Investigation (60% of the qualification) and Component 2 - Externally Set Assignment (40% of the qualification).
