Through this BTEC course you will learn independently through completing projects, tasks and assignments that are realistic to the work place within the sports industry. You will develop skills such as ICT skills, problem solving, working with others, independent learning, organisational skills and meeting deadlines, all of which are essential qualities for successful performance in working life.

Grade 4 in GCSEs in English and Maths.

This qualification will enable you to access a wide range of courses related to the sports industry in higher education Related jobs: Sports Centre/Leisure Centre Sports Coaching Sports Development Outdoor and Activity Centres.
University and Higher Education: This course could lead to degrees or BTEC Higher National Diplomas in Sports Studies Leisure Management Teacher Training.
BTEC qualifications also provide learners with the opportunity to develop a range of techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life, especially with the leisure industry.

Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness training and programming for health, sport and well being, Professional development in the sports industry and Sports leadership.
Assessment
The course consists of 4 units one of which is an exam (Anatomy and Physiology) and another which is externally assessed piece of work. All other units are internally assessed through assignments, projects, small tasks and presentations.
