Exchanges and Visits

Language exchange visits

Annual exchange visits are arranged between our pupils and French and German students. The school has established exchanges with a Lycée at Annonay near Lyon and a Gymnasium in the Rhineland.

Trips

Many other school trips and journeys are organised during the year. These include Geography and Biology field courses and educational visits to museums and exhibitions. Sporting excursions abroad have included soccer, rugby, netball, hockey and skiing to countries including Holland, Italy, Malta and Austria while our musicians have visited Prague, Florence, Vienna and Texas.

International conferences

In recent years the school has taken part in international conferences in Denmark and Germany, members of our Sixth Form discussing environmental issues with students from Belgium, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.

University / college visits

Sixth Form students make visits to universities all over the country and enjoy weekend courses at a local management college.

In addition, many social, cultural and sporting activities are arranged by Sixth Form students themselves.
