Mrs Watkins, our LRC Manager has been sent this wonderful book from Australia! She was contacted by the neighbour of the owner of the book, who wanted to return it to Tring School. The plate in the front of the book says it was awarded to Edward Cracknell for Arithmetic at Tring Boy’s School in 1914. We would love to hear from anyone who might be a relative of Edward, or who may have some information about him.

Bollywood has come to Tring! One of the Year 7 groups have been thoroughly enjoying the Bollywood dancing which is just one of the activities included in the PRS led Extended Learning Day. Other activities taking place today are creative sand Mandalas, a visit to St Peter & St Paul Church, immersive calligraphy and an instrumental extravaganza. They have had a very busy, full day of wonderful experiences.

This week the Year 12 students have been hearing about the student leadership opportunities in the Sixth Form. They are all encouraged to get involved in the initiative, which develops skills whilst also becoming role models for the rest of the school. The student leaders raise the profile of the 6th Form by getting involved with the School Council, becoming part of the Head Student Team, joining the Social Committee and becoming House Captains. These are just a few of the roles open to the students which they can start to apply for now, and then they will take over from the current students in the summer term.
